Havana’s Cigar Vault is a well-known premium cigar shop and lounge located at 481 Franklin Avenue in Nutley, New Jersey but you don't need me to tell you that because the place is older than you an I. Now, what you don't know is that the lounge New Jersey doesn't want you to know about a little upscale upgrade. Thankfully, we are here to tell you all about it,

There's the area for the public and the private lounge. As you probably guessed the private lounge is for VIP clients and members-only. Personally, for what we have seen their membership is top notch without the price tag.

As I get older, I love the big, comfy leather chairs. The kind you sink into and immediately wish you had at home. They also have TVs, and while I’m not much of a TV guy, I do like knowing I can catch the next game, race, or match if I decide to go out and enjoy a cigar.

Remember we told you about secrets? BYOD! That’s right. IFKYK. When it comes to cigars, of course they carry major brands such as Fuente, Padrón, Ashton, Rocky Patel, Oliva, Cohiba, Romeo y Julieta, etc. They also have lockers, and if you’re allowed to get one, it’s your lucky day.

Most small cigar lounges tend to be fairly straightforward in their design: a few comfortable chairs, a humidor, and décor largely supplied by cigar manufacturers in the form of branded signs, posters, and promotional displays. While there is certainly nothing wrong with that traditional setup, it often leaves little room for a lounge to develop its own unique identity.

This lounge, however, is a prime example of how a cigar space can elevate the entire experience through thoughtful design and attention to detail. Rather than relying solely on industry-branded décor, the owners have created an atmosphere with genuine upscale character and personality. Rich furnishings, carefully selected finishes, and a cohesive aesthetic give the space a refined, residential feel rather than that of a typical retail lounge.

The ambiance is reminiscent of the elegant gathering spaces often found in some of the more prestigious homes in affluent NJ communities such as Short Hills and Alpine, where comfort and sophistication go hand in hand. Plush seating, warm lighting, and tasteful décor create an environment that encourages guests to slow down, relax, and truly enjoy their cigar. It is the type of setting where members and visitors alike can comfortably spend hours socializing, conducting business, or simply unwinding at the end of a long day.
